Heat Pump Workshop
It was great seeing so many folks attend the first energy committee event of 2025!
Thanks to Brent of Coleman Heating and Plumbing (1 802 875-3644) and Paul for a very thorough presentation on the why’s and how’s of using the latest generation of heat pumps. Condensing warmer air molecules, heat pumps provide heating, cooling, dehumidifying (helpful for wet basements), at a lower operating cost than traditional oil or propane furnaces. Using the current average cost of fuel, $3.67/gallon, heat pump installations, save 50% for GMP customers. All without lugging firewood, pellets, propane, or kerosene; functioning as a “set it and forget it” system. Every heat pump offsets 275 gallons of non renewable oil.
